Sections

Europe’s top five leagues, the RPL, Latin America, other leagues, the KHL, the NHL and the NBA — each with its own daily puzzle and marathon. The daily puzzles are about a section’s best known players: by goals, assists, games and value. For NHL goalies: the save percentage instead of goals.

The daily puzzle

The clues in order: the position, the country and his years in our leagues; games, goals and the number of clubs; his best season (the league and the year, not the club); a random fact — a hat-trick, his peak value or his most famous team-mate; all his clubs in order; and finally his initials. A wrong guess, or none within 25 seconds, opens the next clue.

Points

6 points with the first clue, 5 with the second, down to 1 with the sixth. An account keeps a run of days with at least one puzzle solved; one missed day within 7 does not end it (❄️), but does not count either. You can send the result to friends: the squares show which clue you got it with, not the answer.

The marathon

Question after question: the position, the numbers and the whole career club by club, 20 seconds to answer. The first mistake or timeout ends it. The stars first, harder later. Play one section or all of them; 5 marathons a day in each (10 with Premium).

Where the data comes from

Only league games of our sections, from the seasons we have line-ups for (Europe’s top leagues and the NHL from 2019/20, the KHL from 2012/13, the NBA from 2014/15); the current season is left out. The value is the market estimate at the time.

Beat a section’s marathon record and get 3 days of Premium (one prize a week across all games). Prize rules →
