Sections
Pick what you know best: Europe’s top five leagues, the RPL, Latin America, other leagues (Turkey, Portugal, Belgium, the Championship, Poland, Belarus, MLS), the KHL, the NHL or the NBA. Each section has its own daily puzzle and its own marathon with a table of records.
The daily puzzle
One for everyone in a section, a new one every day at midnight Moscow time. It is one club’s season. The clues in order: the record; the league and the year; a fact about the players — who came in the summer and from where, who left, the captain, the most valuable player, a hat-trick (which one is random); the place in the table; another fact; the top scorer and the city. Where we have no data on the players — numbers: home and away, the season’s extremes, the goals. Start typing a name and pick the club from the list. A wrong guess, or none within 25 seconds, opens the next clue.
Points
6 points with the first clue, 5 with the second, down to 1 with the sixth. Under your result: how everyone did today, and for an account its run of days with at least one puzzle solved; one missed day within 7 does not end the run (❄️), but it does not count either. You can send the result to friends: the squares show which clue you got it with, not the answer.
The marathon
Question after question: the league, the season, the place, the record and a fact about the players, 20 seconds to answer. The first mistake or timeout ends it; your result is the number of correct answers. The big clubs first, harder later. Play one section or all of them at once. 5 marathons a day in each (10 with Premium); the table of records holds the best result of every account with a nickname.
Where the data comes from
Everything is our own data: regular-season results, line-ups and goals. A move is read from the line-ups: a player’s last club before his first game for this one; the value is the market estimate at the time. The answer stays on the server: the page learns it only after the game.
